Profile Please.

Now that I have started my blog, I thought I’d share a little bit about myself. I live in Toronto, and it’s been a blast living in the city, I definitely would be too bored living in a small town when there’s so much to do in a great city! I am currently attending York University working towards my Honours BA along with my Business Fundamentals Certificate in Business and Society. From there, I will apply to Ryerson for Graduate Studies and obtain my Public Relations Certificate. But I am still debating going to University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business for PR.

When I was young I had always wanted to be a singer. Didn’t we all? But it was during my economics class in grade 12 that I had realized I wanted to get into PR. Public Relations is such a large field in which you can do absolutely everything, there’s so much to explore. And that is what I am currently doing, exploring the world of PR. I’m not sure what exactly I want to do in PR but it must be within the fashion/media industry. I have a great passion for fashion! It would be a great dream to do PR within a fashion magazine, or a fashion label, well really ANYTHING in fashion! It’s a very competitive field, but I think if I put all I’ve got I can make it happen. It starts off as a dream, but it’s in your hands to make it reality. I am always optimistic, which is quite funny because my bestest friend Julia is the very opposite, but I think we balance each other out. I’ve never been doubtful over anything, I think. Even during exams, all my friends were stressing but although I was worried as well, studying my butt off (well sometimes) I was always in a relaxed manner. I know my education is up to me, and I have to learn from my mistakes, that’s why if I were to get a good or bad mark, that’s for me to decide, I have to face the consequences there’s no one else to blame. Although I do tend to blame it on my parents for always distracting me hehe. But there is never a DEADEND. That’s what we must realize, we all screw up at times but we can fix it and WILL fix it.

Anyways, enough of the encouragement talk.

The next post will be about my experience with Toronto’s Fashion Week ;)

Xoxo Julie
